🚨🥲 JHS graduate sacked from work after OSP mistakenly declared him WANTED

A young man called Francis Asare says he is facing serious hardship after the Office of the Special Prosecutor, OSP, allegedly published his photograph in connection with a case in which he says he was wrongly identified.

According to Francis, the issue began on July 24, 2024, when his picture was shared on social media by Rainbow Radio with a claim that he was wanted by the Special Prosecutor.

In a message appealing for help, he said the publication left him frightened and forced him to seek clarification.

“Good morning sir. My name is Asare Francis. On 24 July 2024, Rainbow Radio posted me with my picture on social media saying I am wanted by the Special Prosecutor. I was afraid, so I called my brother to take me there,” he shared his story with Cr!me Check TV.

Francis said when he reported to the OSP office, officials informed him that it had been a mistake and that he was not the person being sought.

According to him, he was told that incorrect information had been provided by Fidelity Bank Ghana.

He claims the incident has had a major impact on his life, including the loss of his job and emotional distress.

“Because of that I lost my job. At the same time, I am going through mental problems too. Please I really need your help,” he added.

Francis, who says he is a Junior High School graduate, is now calling for support and raising questions about whether the OSP will offer any form of compensation for the alleged error and its consequences.A heartbreaking story has emerged involving a young Ghanaian, Francis Asare, whose life has been turned upside down after he was mistakenly declared wanted by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
Francis says he is now battling severe hardship, emotional distress, and unemployment—all because of an error he insists was not his fault.
According to him, the ordeal began on July 24, 2024, when his photograph was circulated on social media by Rainbow Radio, claiming he was a wanted person linked to a case being handled by the OSP.
The shocking post left him terrified.
Unsure of what to do and fearing for his safety, Francis reached out to his family and decided to report himself to the authorities to clear his name.
“Good morning sir. My name is Asare Francis. On 24 July 2024, Rainbow Radio posted my picture saying I am wanted by the Special Prosecutor. I was afraid, so I called my brother to take me there,” he recounted in an emotional message to Crime Check TV.
But what happened next shocked him even more.
Upon arriving at the OSP office, Francis says officials told him it was all a mistake—he was not the individual they were looking for.
He further claims the mix-up was linked to incorrect information allegedly provided by Fidelity Bank Ghana.
Unfortunately, the damage had already been done.
Francis says the false accusation cost him his job and left him struggling to cope mentally.
“Because of that, I lost my job. At the same time, I am going through mental problems too. Please, I really need help,” he said.
Now unemployed and emotionally drained, the JHS graduate is pleading for support while also raising serious concerns about accountability.
Many are now asking: 👉 Should the OSP compensate victims of such errors?
👉 Who takes responsibility when a life is wrongly disrupted like this?
Francis’ story is a painful reminder of how a single mistake—especially in the digital age—can destroy livelihoods, reputations, and peace of mind in an instant.
